whenever i try to use the (start and end times) on my 404

i notice a slight digital chunk of information playing...
like a small little click...at the end of the sample

that takes away from the samples continuity of sounding like a loop

it causes a weird skip?

any suggestions?

I think its somewhere in the manual where it mentions truncating (removing empty sounds) the sample...check your roland mannual for details

Did you make sure it loops or is the sample a loop already?

If it's a loop you have made from a sample, it could very well just be a case of not having made a perfect loop.

Some sounds are difficult or even impossible to loop without some very advanced editing or overdubbing with additional sounds.

It might be that the pop you're experiencing is just the result of having chopped it up and not having a 'zero crossing' point which messes up the continuity.

It basically causes a hick up if the transition of a loop ain't smooth.

I agree with Phemox, sometimes I get frustrated and just use the loop with it's fucked up click in it and layer other stuff on top. I'd say work with what you got or pick a sample that will be easier to loop properly, you can always edit a sample on your computer and export the loop when it sounds perfect.

Export you sample(s) to the memory as described in the manual.
Read the contents of the memory card on your pc.
