Onboard Virtual Analog Synth?

I have read that the 808 can emulate an analog synth via midi, but trying to read through the online manual (mine didn't come with one) is a pain, and to me, it is very confusing. can anybody tell me, clear, step by step, instructions, how to use/find the synth? i have a midi controller if need be as well. if i am mistaken on the capabilities of the SP-808, please forgive me, but yeah. thanks.

You must use midi channel 11 to control the synth effect with a midi keyboard. Select A99 AnlgSyn, make sure trigger in is set to "on"
