That's the D-Beam. It's part of the 555 and Roland throws one in just about everything these days.

i still dont get how the v-link controls video but then again i really dont and most likely wont ever mess with video i love the beats man the beats man boom tis clap tis tis boom boom clap tis boom tis clap tis tis boom boom clap!! 8)

Nah, he was talking about the D beam there for sure.

The V-Link matches video-samples based on which pads were struck, if you use keys on the Motion Dive you can control even more. There's a fader so you can do stutter-effects and so on.

Really cool and frankly not even that expensive either! 8)

Mike you need to tell your colleagues over there at Roland that its time for a firmware update to the 555.
Roland has some of the best ish around!
