Hey all, new 404 user here.

I'm currently using the 404 with some high quality harpsichord samples with a midi input to make my old non-velocity sensitive casio sound like a high quality harpsichord without having to lug my computer around. The thing is, though, that I can't figure out how to program in the release samples or modify the release envelope on the 404. For example, I press the key, and the note plays for as long as I have my finger on the key. However, when I release, the sound immediately shuts off - there is no damping of the sound like you would expect, and it sounds very weird, especially if you're doing trills or something. Is there any way that I can add release samples in, or even just have the note damped a little on note off? Maybe some reverb would work...anyone have any ideas?

unfortunately the 404 isn't really set up with a Release parameter
adding Reverb/Tape Delay to the samples may help (hold Remain to add an effect to multiple samples)
try having Gate on or off to see whether that helps too

i'd use reverb, myself, but i'm a workaround kinda guy. i have melotron samples loaded in that stop the second you take yr finger off the pad. adding a bit-o-verb allows that decay that sweetens the deal and allows a fumble-fingers like me to get to the next note. just a little goes a long way.

hope that helpsichord!
