Hi,

I can't decide whether I should buy a SP-555 or a SP-606? Can someone please help me. I want a gear that is studio oriented.

They are pretty different from what I hear from the users, the 555 is more of a quick editing dj style sampler and the 606 seems to be more of a dedicated production machine with autochop and more elaborate sequencing I believe.
More people seem to use the 555 here, but both machines are very powerful and creative. I think the 606 doesn't get much exposure for how good it is, kinda like the 505. Good Luck

For studio use the 606 is superior to the 555 in every way except lower polyphony and the CF card size of 512MB max (these are no longer made and getting harder to find).

It's simple :
If you use software and generally you use your computer mainly for creating-editing,sequencing your staff buy a 555,
if not then the 606 is the only way
