todays actually the first time i seen the price for the 555... music equipment is just so damn expensive

It might be worth checking out, the economy is pretty bad so it seems possible that someone needs to pay bills or something. Plus West and East Oakland are the only parts you don't want to deal with really.

Bring some headphones and try and meet in a public place with an outlet nearby if you're worried. Maybe a coffee shop

True, but I stay broke. I would probably get a 404 before a 555 to have a battery powered sp, plus the 303 is a deep box since I learn new stuff to do with it all the time. I still have a microkorg I haven't even learned or used enough to really want to add it into my tracks yet, I'm slow learner when it comes to sampling but I try not to skip any steps along the way.
