I didn't figure this out, so don't give me credit, but i was looking to do the same thing and someone here said you can work around this by setting both pads with the loop light on, then hitting the first pad you want first, then hitting the first pad and second pad you want at the same time, thus ending the first one while simultaneously beginning the next. hope that's what you mean.

Another thing you might play around with is maxing out the polyphony, then hitting the pad you want and seeing which one it cancels. If you don't need that many sounds max it with empty pads on loop. I haven't done the research but if it turns out it kills the first one you triggered then it's cake, just start up the one you want canceled first. If it kills a random one then just keep trying till it kills the one you wanted and keep that tape rolling. =)

i forgot about the feature of canceling one pad out from hitting another. but i just got used to seeting up a drum pattern and just freestyling the loops and samples i find/made. you can cancel anything out at anytime just have them both on loop one going one not hit them both at the right time and BAM the othe ris going the other is cancelled.

ig-i thought i had come up with a genius mute workaround with that maxing the polyphony with empty pads idea a few months a go ,lol...unfortunately it is the case that it cuts out pads completely randomly..so theres really no useful way to do it.i think im gonna start trying to fuck around with the loop cancel thing though...i always thought it would be too dificult and confusing to play your samples like that, but now that i think about it i dont think it would be that tough really.

It's all about playing the pads on gated playback and in time with your drums, press one sample on the 1st downbeat and then release it at the same time as you press the next pad and your good.

Yeah that's probably the most usable method.
