Video Preview Of New Music..
I haven't really let anyone know about this yet,but i thought some heads on here might feel like checking it out.it was filmed at my crib by my man johnny quest for a video/blog project he's working on--i'm just spitting some battle shit over a rough 8 bar loop of a beat i had started on my sp the night before.i didnt think i'd wanna use the beat for the actual song on the next album, but listening to it now i think i might...maybe.probably not.anyway, give it a look if you get bored..be warned though, its like 60 some bars, lol.peace

...."Adrus' delivery is staggeringly quick and precise, reminiscent of rappers such as Nas and Rakim — two MCs from the period that He calls hip-hop's "golden age." He spends little time on braggadocio or rapping about rap for rap's sake, but he proves on tracks such as "Vintage" that he's capable of throwing down. Along with his own beats, the album includes production from Nezbeat and local artists Miles Bonny, Johnny Quest and others.."-K.C.'s Pitch Weekly
".....Relocating to Lawrence, the world weary MC has since taken control of his life and redoubled his passion for music. The end product of these therapeutic sessions is “Dying on My Feet,” the Misphit’s first full length album. The album is a who’s who of area hip-hop luminaries, featuring production and guest appearances from Nezbeat, Miles Bonny, Johnny Quest, iD and others. “Dying on My Feet” intertwines cutting social commentary with haunting beats, taking the listener on a grim journey not just through Adru’s personal travails, but the American psyche as well."--lawrence.com
it's hard to describe Adru the Misphits music in a few words, but 3 good ones would be intense, emotional, and raw....born in Houson,Tx,and raised in Manhattan,Ks.,after being adopted as a young child,he is an emcee/producer that was brought up on the Hip-Hop of the "golden age."His lyrical style and beats are a reflection of that timeless music. He began writing and spitting rhymes in the early nineties, honing his skills in ciphers and on homeade tapes. Adru's first time in a studio came when D.J. Trixster(now J.T. Quick of KPRS 103 jamz in K.C.)started giving the young emcee spots on his show at the K-state station d.b. 92. When Trixster moved on to greener pastures,Adru's D.J. at the time,Soul Mutt,(now of K.C.'s Streetmonstaz/Beatmonstaz collective)started the weekly undergound/indie hip-hop show "Open Eye Wreck". Adru playing the "co-host",(spitting writtens and freestyles a couple times every week) this was a groundbeaking show in local college radio, and to this day has never been duplicated. Soon,Dru was gaining a reputation as one of the top lyricists in the state. He cut his first demo with K.C's D.J. Just, (now one of the cities most respected D.J.'s & producers)and shortly after that recorded his first studio e.p. with the production of Rob Wonder.( Beatmonstaz)While Adru was making a name for himself ,his personal life took some turns that for left him unable to continue his musical pursuits.(he talks a lot about these times in his songs) .After years of struggle he was finally able to get back to music seriously around 2005,relocating to Lawrence,Ks.(home of K.U.,30 minutes outside of K.C.)after about 8 years in Kansas City,Mo.,and K.C.K.He quickly started making a name for himself again in the tight-knit K.C./Lawrence scene, being featured on Tommy Lift's compilation "Stacked Deck",Nezbeat's "From the Huge Silence",and Archetype's latest album,"Bleed for Them".He also has upcoming spots on a production album/compilation from Johnny Quest and an i.D. solo album. His own album will be coming out in 2007,with beats from a lot of the regions most accomplished producers, as well as a handful of self-produced tracks. This album will represent the essence of Hip Hop music itself-dusty,boom-bap beats with poetic lyrics and complex rhyme structure, scathing social commentary, vivid introspection & auto-biographical stories, and a dash of that braggadocious/battle steez Dru was so well known for years ago.

the lines- i live like i can't run from deaths imminent grasp/so i spit like the grandson of sylvia plath..
with any luck i wont end up putting my head in an oven though.
oh-and the reason the videos spliced like that is cause we did two takes-and i guess the one with the audio he used is the one where i knocked my boombox over when i sat down in the chair.i just kept going though,i actually thought it woulda been cool to leave it in.
