Linn Drum 2 for Prez

Post by HxC »

Can't resist re-igniting speculation about Roger Linn's prospective hit machine.
And come to think of it, doesn't the Linn 2 make you think the Roland SP- series influenced the design a little bit?
The lit pads being a biggie- I could be wrong, but didn't Roland SPs do that first?
The more I look at the thing, the more it seems like a macked out SP-505

In this older Roger Linn interview he even mentions being impressed with Roland's innovation & design:

Wonder what will come out first, the Linn 2 or that Dre album. (-;

Cool interview. Being a huge fan of Line6 products myself, I wasn't surprised he mentioned the brand. :)

You're right though, I wonder if the LinnDrumm II will still be released before the end of 08'. I don't think so, as they've recently stopped pre-orders and so on.

I wonder if the US recession has anything to do with it's delay. Then I wonder about sampling drum machine sales worldwide. They must sell a lot in Japan & Europe. South America ? India? China ? Aussie ? I wonder...
Then I drink a beer, listen to a Mets game & stop wondering so much.
