It's known that you can change the pattern immediately when using the 'sub' pad and pressing the pattern button.

But I experience a small delay between the change and it's hella' annoying.

Anybody else experiencing this?

yeah...sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't....

might depend on what samples are at the start of the pattern maybe?

ya, its because it has a low resolution. its basically works on quarter notes. You gotta drop it right at the begining of the bar for it to work right.

I was just about to post a new thread getting excited over this feature! To me it's a good thing that it's snapping to (what seems like) the 16th notes. So long as you press it right on time or a split second early (rather than late) it keeps everything in perfect timing.

yes thats a definite advantage - i always liked the way in fruity loops i could hit mutes and drops on the sixteenths, i think the mpc worked this way too

can i ask an stupid question here? does it switch up to the same point in the new pattern? keeping the flow going, allowing a quick 'fill' etc?

no it starts playback from the beginning of the new sample.
