Memory space... how to get more?

1) I had a memory full when trying to record things onto my pad's. Well I went through every pad bank and deleted the long ones. So now I have about 1min and 47 secs freespace. I dont know if thats good or not... is there anyway to free up some space?

2) Me and my friends mess around sometimes and record long things onto the pads. Would I be able to do that.. use it then delete it? Not delete it.. just resample over it for like a sec? Will that work? I guess what im trying to say is, if I keep doing the resample thing to free up space will it eventually mess up and just have less and less freespace everytime i re-do it?

Just make sure you get a compatible one (check the manual - the Brand of the card is important but not the actual model number).
