dude call me a noob or call me what you will but i just finally learned how to use the quantize funtion hahahaha i can make any frickin damn beat on time even if i dont play it on time it does it for me holly shite man im a frickin noob but watch it now im a noob with beats on time haha i find i like 8th notes myself haha well sorry im just so happy with my sp 555 atm i can kiss the damn thing haha still havent figured out how to use the pattern select to make a whole song with 16 pads but alls i know is im knockin some one pad beats out sounding dope back to the manual and google haha =) PEACE!!

ahah, you just found that out?? Well at least you figured it out. I bet you were having a hell of a time with your 555 before. I make beats sometimes without the quantize function, in fact sometimes the quantize messes with me and I have to turn it off.

Glad you found that.. lol :lol:

yeah i can be slow at times but ill get it lol only had the 555 since late june more i learn the better it gets....

I remember when I was learning beats many moons ago, I went a long time without applying swing to my drums on my ASR. I'm talkin like a little youngin lookin at my machine like :shock: when I finally figured it out. Damn, I remember feelin like a total noob :lol: . But nowadays quite a few years later, I toggle between even usin it at all and not. Sometimes my prefrence is "free hand" style, especially on the 404. Peace, Duss 8)

imo if you're gonna go without quantize on the 404 it's a lot easier to get some other pads that have less "travel" and trigger it from that, like a padkontrol. i love the 404, and learning how to bang on the pads is part of the charm, but i loves me some padkontrol. =)

so what am i the new kid on the block haha ive had the sp for like 3 months but learning new shit is like whaaaaaaaaaaaat!!! i find it very satisfying. lolz
