Err / copy pattern / LOD stops
I dunno what's wrong. It's gonna be a mess to explain but I'll try cause I'm really pissed by that shit.
I save a pattern as a backup. Now I wanna load that shit / -> copy pattern.
I can load the pattern but just 4 or 5 times. After the 4th load the LOD screen stops -> no button reaction at all. I do a "restart" of the machine and it shows "Err". Another restart and everythings seems to be fine but wait the fucking bad thing is that Bank A + B are totally empty (samples + pattern are gone into some kinda black hole). I have this trouble already for a while and the strange thing is that whenever this loading err comes up, bank A+B are like they were before backing up the first pattern. Know I mean?!
Of course I tried different cards but nothing went better. Expierences? Is it the machine? I never pulled out the card while the machine was running or sth. like that. Doing the copy pattern trick without a pc is quit dangerous for me now... DAMN!
(Today I was doing a lil beat at work during the lunchbreak and I was like "why this must happen now?!". )
I was really close to fix my 404 the juxt-way. *bam bam moow*
Hopefully there is a better way?

Try loading a new copy of the O.S. , when it comes to the 303/404 there is a ghost in the machine and that's best I can explain it since they all do it but in a slightly different way or at random times. Maybe it's the same ghost that makes a beat slap so hard out a little black box.
It's the whole good with the bad/duality in life that these samplers reinforce, oh and impermanence 'cause I know we've all lost that one beat that you'd kill to have again.

You'll need a card reader as well.

ah yeah... I understand... but what can I do to avoid that shit?
Calling the ghostbusters?
Is it possible to "downgrade" the 404?

Even if you have the latest O.S. sometimes a problem occurs which can fixed by installing a fresh copy. When my pc was my main computer I kept my files on redundant external hard drives and only Windows XP on the internal drive so that I could reinstall if I get hacked and not loose data. Now I use a macbook for recording and there aren't to many malicious scripts and viruses written for OSX.
