i figured out how to do mono triggering on 555

Ok, record a few samples, 4-12 of them.
Get your start points right!
Turn the “gate & loop” off for each sample.
Start making 4-12 patterns. But in each pattern only put one sample in it. On the first beat!!!!
Now you have 4-12 patterns, while you are in “pattern select” mode, hold down “sub pad” and while holding that pad down start pressing each 4-12 patterns you just made, always hold down the “sub pad” while doing this.
Now you see how it automatically switches patterns, this is mono triggering for the sp 555 and 404 should be able to do this.
Now on the 555 we can record our patterns in the “loop capture”, do that for a 4 measure with the tempo of the sample.
BUT….you will notice it is not perfect. There are going to be lil gaps between each sample. You can always apply a affect to fill the gaps up. Or record into some software and clean it up.

Mono triggering for the 555 and 404 son!!!

it is meant for changing patterns in the middle of patterns, but just like how we use "subsonic" to mute tracks/samples, this can be used to do the mono triggering i was asking about a while back.

Good thinking on that one! To bad the 555/404 doesnt let you rapid fire patterns like the 303 does :\
