can't load 8 samples to Bank A but can on other banks

There's currently only a single sample on pad 1 in Bank A on my SP303. I'm transferring 8 samples at a time from the smartmedia card and I'm able to transfer all 8 at once to banks B, C, and D.

But when I try to load 8 samples to Bank A (in the same way I'm doing with other banks) it only loads onto Pad 1 (the only pad with sound on it). The normal loading procedure (i'm loading aif files since mine doesn't like wavs from my computer) where the 1.0.0. counts down as the samples load and eventually the display says 1 2 3.

Anyone else have a similar problem or know what might be wrong?

hmm.. never mind. i guess the bank was full. I saw a F.U.L flash quickly on the display this time while loading. I had stereo samples on one bank... replacing them with mono samples fixed the problem.

It's a good idea to initialize a card before loading or backing up files to make sure the isn't anything lurking in the back up section of the card, which can cause the card to flash F.U.L.
