how do you use reason with sp 404?
i know you can make drums and all that and then put it on the card.if im not mistaking,while you're using sp 404 or whatever and reason can it show up while ur doing it?i dont maybe im confused i thought i saw it on youtube.com
what do you mean by "show up"?
sadly, Reason can't send MIDI data or accept audio line in
which means you can't MIDI sync the 404 to Reason, or record the 404's sounds in to Reason
however, if you rewire Reason as a slave to another DAW which can act as master (ie Cubase, Live, Logic) then you can both sync the 404 with the master (and thus Reason also) AND record audio from the 404 into the master program
i do this with Live (with Reason active through rewire), so that beats and melodies i make on the 404 can be seamlessly integrated with what i've programmed on the PC. you can be sending MIDI data (ie tempo/BPM) at the same time you're recording the audio in so it is essentially all 'acting as one'.
it is great to have some hardware to offset the rigidity and distance of software
