I use those crap sony headphones that sell for $20 at Bestbuy, I guess they do the job but I'd like to get something a little better.

I use Roland RH-200 headphones.... Best phones ever.

I think they're around $100 though.

phones are tricky. i had some cheap Koss guys that i bought at a radio shack, and they lasted me years and sounded good. when they died, i got some expensive-ish AKGs. they sound great, but make my ears aw hot'n'sweaty so they're tricky if i'm doing a lotta phone work over hours.

here's a resource to explore, tho. lotsa neat stuff depending on what you need:

peace.

I have a pair of AKG's K 141 monitor and Beyerdinamic DT 990 PRO.
Beyer's are on the level of budget studio monitors but they cost nearly 180 EUR. I can't afford to play loud as my neighbours get preety upset so I use cans at night.

I used headphones a lot in Seattle since people didn't enjoy being attacked with kick drums in the middle of the night. Here in East Oakland we here gunshots all night so some bass in yo face ain't shit.

I just copped the PX100s btw. The 4th store I went to had them. Gear diggin! =) They have a great sound, are easy to wear for hours on end, and don't have a crazy long cord so you can wear them walking around or whatever w/out having to do any crazy cord loopage. Anyway my 2 cents...
