what kind of tape deck? how you gonna get sh*t on cd? I'd sell the tape deck and get an 8-track that can either connect to a computer through USB... or, if you really wanna stay of a CPU, then get one with a built in burner. The tape deck would be cool to have in conjunction with an addt'l recorder though... can you alter the pitch on it?

can't overlook getting your beats on cd... tapes are fun, but mostly a novelty... unless you're gonna record to tape, then record the tape to something else. Even if you put out a literal beat-tape... only 1 out of 10 heads are gonna be able to enjoy it... if that.

you might want to consider sequencing with the MPC and having it trigger your SP samples through midi... there are some posts on here about getting that all setup.

yea i was just using the tape to record the song for more warmth in the sound. then im gonna record it back into my sp and just put the tracks on the pc after that.
i was thinking about getting an mpc but i have an mpd 16 that i used for my software setup that i could use but when i tried to sync it with my sp the pads were all outta wack. so i think im just gonna sample through my s2000 timestretch if needed then send it to the sp...then the fun begins, make the sequences and then put it on tape and then send it back into the sp...sounds like a long process but it sounds like fun to me.
