adjust volume of samples when effect is running

Is there a way ?I cant figure it out

press Remain, then Start/End/Level
then you use the Level Knob to adjust the volume
you'll lose control of the effect parameters while Start/End/Level is lit

is that what you mean?

well not quite...
lets say I have 3 samples running an I want to adjust the level on the 3d.
The effect is running on the 2nd right?
If I press remain and then sample 3 that means that the effect is applied also to the 3d ,so there is the trouble.....

after pressing remain, press the pad twice real fast so it blinks again and then do your volume adjustment.
