New Sp-404 user here....

Post by Cannonj »

Hey whats up everyone been checking out the board for the past two weeks and you guys are really a big help. Only two weeks into using my 404 but its the most fun i have had with any gear i have ever bought. This sampler is so awesome. i will be making some full out productions just using the 404 and a multitrack recorder. I have other equipment but i think this is going to be the center of my creations. Well enough talking just saying hi to everyone on the boards!

50 bucks is a lot for a memory card. I know the price for memory cards varies a lot, I seen 1 gig cards go between $20-$50. As for finding 128-256mg cards I havnt seen any memory cards that were smaller than 1 gig for a long time. Of course the internet has everything, I just never shop on the net. As long as the card is under 2 gigs the 404 will recognize it.

You should go to RadioShack to buy CF. I got a 1gb card and reader for about $30.

Here's a link for a 2gb for $25. You could probably find even better deals then this. You just got to shop around.

Thanks for sharing J. Is SanDisk a tried-and-true brand?

I can say from shopping cheap CF cards online that Transcend and A-Data brand cards DO NOT WORK WITH SPs.
