Switching bank while playing a sample in Gate mode

I just noticed that if I trigger a sample in Gate mode and switch banks while that sample is playing, that sample will keep playing in the background and stay looping from the beginning of the sample until the part when the bank was switched.

Anyone else have this problem?

Am I the only one with this issue? Does anyone ever switch banks after triggering a sample?

well i use my 303 mostly for loops so i never need to do much quick sample switching. maybe you can resample all your immediately needed samples to the bank the previous sample in your songs

Just tried and yeah:
A sample in gate mode keeps playing after you switched the bank even if you release it.

hello sp 303 users, ive had the same problem as well. and i found out if you are careful with your timing as far playing samples with gate on. you can trigger the sample and release the pad before you hit another pad bank and it wont play the whole sample thru. it works with the sequencer and without it too.

another work around is trim the sample down to only what you need so it wont play all the way thru when switching pad banks. hope this helps.

That's the ticket. It's on gate just let go of the pad right before the bank change.

There is a hold button on the 303.
