here 's my problem-I d/led the drivers form Roland's website, and when i try open/install them, I keep getting stopped right when they ask you to select a folder where the driver is at, and it keeps acting like its the wrong folder, can someone please help me cause i have lost sleep over this, and got to the point where i am ready to smash that thing on the floor, for real. I turned off all my firewall and virus protection, followed all seven of those steps, and still -nothing. Please me cause this just truly, truly disheartening. Thx in advance and be blessed.

I think you will have to run the downloaded drivers from the desktop folder or it won't find it or something.

Just save the drivers to your desktop and you should be fine. :)

Trust me, I did that, moved them over to the desktop, and tried following the seven steps again, and i got stopped cold at the step where the Files Needed dialog box asks for the folder where the drive is at, and i browse and choose this one - "C:\Documents and Settings\jeffery simms\Desktop\SP-606 USB Driver\SP-606 USB Driver\USB_XP2K"
and still- nothing, won't let even go past presding "ok " so i have to just cancell the whole thing, what is it am i doing wrong- i dont get it at all, lsomeone please help cause i am really stressing right now.

Which version of the drivers are you trying? Sometimes the older ones work better than the new ones

You actually have to specify the right file in the USB_XP2K folder. The file name should start something like rdt..... The dialog box should read C:\Documents and Settings\jeffery simms\Desktop\SP-606 USB Driver\SP-606 USB Driver\USB_XP2K\RDT.....

I think he did that as well. Maybe you have to download the drivers again because it sounds like you might have corrupt files somehow.

Weird question and suggestion perhaps, but can you video tape what you did? Perhaps we can figure out that way what goes wrong?

Did you try and download the latest OS update for the SP-606 as well?

WLL I MIGHT BE ABLE TO TAPE , BUT I AM THINKING THAT IKNOW HAT MAY BE WORNG, WHEN YOU GET TO THE STEP WHERE IT SAIDS "COPY FORM" AND ASKS FOR THE FILE/FOLDER, THE ONE I SEE IS IN VIDEO/CD MOVIE FORMAT AND DEOSNT HAVE THE DAT ON THE END OF IT, IM THINKING THAT IT MAY BE CORRUPTED SOMEHOW WHEN I D/L FORM MY COMPUTER, MAY TRY TO D/L IT FORM ANOTHER ONE.

Yeah, man, you should just try to download again, as that's not normal.

good to hear you got it to work.

The 606 will work as a controller for any software: check the documentation for the software concerened for details on getting it to work
