is there really that much difference... maybe I can't tell because these speakers I'm using but there doesn't seem to be much of a difference.
I dont have a card reader, so I sample all my drums (play em live and use the sample function). Do you guys sample your sh*t in standard or long?

in fact i always sampled my whole shit using the long quality setting. so all my 505 beats sounded the same. of course when i resampled just like rob i used best quality to not degrade it even more. my advice is to use lo-fi for percussions it gives them a more old school feel to it if ya into it at all.

I always sampled in long when I sued the 505. Especially for drums. Its 22.05khz sample rate instead of 44.1. Makes it a little dirtier and makes kicks that can holes in your wall
