Ensoniq EPS 16+

Post by Dj Frantic »

I just coped one with the memory expander and scsi for $100 !!! And I gotta say, I am blown away by the illness of the sampler! I have a eps classic and love it to death but wow...ensoniq really stepped their game up on this one. This along side my 404 is gonna be rawest setup :)

Nah, The original EPS, stock has more like 9 secs...because it shares memory with the sequencer. The 16+ comes with 1mb and the one I got has 2MB. So, I normally sample at 22khz wich gives me a little over 40 seconds. More than I need since Im choppin on the 404.

I got it off a cat I know whos had it since the early 90s and just never used it. The overheating hasnt been a problem for me with the 16+ Its gets real hot but I havent worked on it for ne thing over about 2 hours yet. The classic EPS did give issues with overheating. But, as long as I had a fan on it, it was fine.
