Post by mostblunted »

Just recently noticed that I really dig electro music

atleast some kind of electro...

I really like stress and waters of nazareth by justice and some stuff from mstrkrft.

Are there any other more nknown electro artist that I should know about?

okay, i was in the same boat as you about 4 momnths ago...lucky i had a good mate with great electro tastes to hook me up....ill share the shit thats along the lines of justice and mstrkrft.....

First thing about french electro (pretty much what defines the french sound is the Justice type shit..gritty and banging drums) is Ed Banger. Thats the label justice is on, and good artists to look at are sebastiAn, DJ Mehdi, Busy P, Mr. Oizo, and Mr Flash (Who is fuking coool...his tracks sometimes have that out of time bounce that madlib uses...sounds cool in an electro track ;) ) Check out other ed banger artists cause they pretty much run the joint with French electro imo.
Also:
Crookers
Bloody Beetroots
Toxic Avenger
Does it offend you, yeah?
Crystal Castles
Thomas Bangalter (Of Daft Punk fame)
Digitalism
Just a band
surkin
........the Presets......yeh...they have blown up now but i cant argue their musical talent. Plus they Australian so i feel the need to premote them.
Good idea is to check thier myspaces and look at thier friends and assoiciated record labels n junk. For the last 4 months, when i havent been bumping hiphop...its been electro :)

A lot of people never use their initiative because nobody told them to.
