Need help

Sup SP users! I have a problem with the pattern select feature. Every time I sample a sound on a pad, I'll test the loop out by holding "hold" or pressing loop to hear its continuous sound. So I'll get my loops perfectly on time, but every time I try to make it into a sequence or beat, when I use record, it always loops with like a 1 second pause in between. How can I fix this problem? I know its a noob question but any help would be apprieciated. Thanks

try using the Gate function for the long samples
then when in Rec mode, hold the sample for as long as it needs to be playing for (so that the 404 receives definitive 'end' note information)

it can also work with gate off as well
