505 Help (midi)

I have a question..


I have this midi port USB to MIDI Cable

and I have a 505 and a macbook pro and I want to send the 4 parts that i recorded on 505 into the macbook pro (software is Logic Pro)

Can somebody help me please.

I think that is pretty much like 303 or 404 or 808 or every music instument that have midi out. I just want to send that parts to logic pro to have endless parts.

Hope you can help me... I don't have any cd or something i just have to configure the SP and the Logic Pro and maybe the macbook pro midi settings

what do u mean by parts ? if you are trying to record the audio out thats not what midi does. The 505 and midi are not good friends. Its a pain to get it to talk to ne thing properly via midi.

i have a cable that i can connect and record via audio in but i dont want that. i want to send my 4 patterns to logic and logic just record when i put play and stop when the pattern stop. i mean i want when I press play on sp 505 the logic record what I did... and when the pattern ends the logic stop record... after that i can record many patterns into the logic and dont have limits because the sp 505 only have 4 "parts" i think they call parts to a pattern.


sorry if i'm not beeing clear explaining the situation


i just want to plug in that cable via midi ti my sp and the USB part to the macbook pro and I want to set up the logic or another software and when i press play on the SP the software can grab what iso playing.

ok, gotcha. This is definitely possible. But ive never tried it on the 505
