first beats...

... here are two, out of probably 35 beats I've made since I've had this machine (sp 505 probably a month).

I have trouble actually finishing anything I've made so these beats are sort of just thrown together.

anyway. Input/tips/advice. Thanks ya'll..

little background to the two beats

nosleep- not a loop.. i play out the single piano notes on all the patterns. The drums suck. Eh I'm trying to learn to expand my knowledge of creating better drum patterns to get away from the same old boom bap. Also.. i play the last part of the beat live with the sliced part... so what you hear isnt how it sounds all the time.

Olive Juice- first beat I made. Was for a girl... i am no longer interested in the girl so I lost interest in finishing the beat.

sounds nice man,both of them..never get away from the boom bap!i'm trying to move out to seattle in the next 6-8 months,seems like it would be my ideal city-at least in this country

ha.. word. Yeah come out here. There is no other place I'd rather be during the summer time foreal.

Cost of living is a bit high, my rent was just raised.. shit I have to pay 1500 a month.. but I rent a house.

All in all though I moved around a bunch when I was younger (mostly for females, big mistake) and I have always come back here. Seattle is and will be my home.

shit man,i'll be on section 8 till i graduate school,lol,living expenses arent a huge deal really..but i need to get to a real city again..i love overcast weather as well as a mix of urban/nature in close proximity of eachother..plus the art/music scenes incredible (not only hip hop,but common market and boom bap need some competition,lol) fresh fish..:)and from what i understand a somewhat disproportionate number of "eccentric" people,which is a good thing..plus i got a few friends out there already..at this point it seems like a utopia

yea ,that shits really dope,sounds like some sp production too...check out my music page when you get a second (the adru the misphit one)-although more of the better songs in my opinion are up on the cdbaby site right now,theres a link on the page

I'll be moving back up North to Olympia later this year, but I used to live in Seattle for a while and loved it. Can't wait to get back since I visit so often to go digging and visit friends, I usually try to hit Oregon too.
