how do i put samples into my CF card?

Post by KAOS »

i just got my sp606 last week and my compact flash card today and im having a hard time putting samples into the card. i dont know where im suppose to place my files in. when i use the USB Mass Storage function, the sp606 is recognized as fuguefat and folders are inside it including one named Roland. In that folder it says bkup 1,2,3,4 and SP-606. where should i place my samples? thanks in advance.

DRAG AND DROP

sums it up as how u get them on the card. be careful though. umight want to exercise some organization before u max out.

after you disconnect for the cpu hit FUNC and CARD UTIL and then go to import. you can assign the first 16 samples to whatever free bank by going through and using the MARK button. then execute

voila peeps

u can use folders to move samples youve loaded into. this will keep u from reloading the same joint. remember organize whenever possible

the six oh six is pretty fresh, ne. can't you just hold numerous back-up samples and load 7em at will?

yeah you can @ any length as well. it jus isnt as fast as the 404 when loading samples. plus if u have samples in a bank and want to load even three more @ the same time... itll delete the others so u have to do it one @ a time. still dope and pleasurable im watching tv with mines right now :D

.WAV or .AIF samples should be placed at the top directory (FUGUEFAT). Read p.68 of the manual for the whole procedure.
