thought I'd start a thread to big-up my favourite hip-hop producer, DJ Premier

more than anyone else, Primo defines hip-hop for me. choppy samples, deep stabby basslines and hard drums, all served up with his trademark cuts on the hook

you always knew that if Premier produced a track on an album, it would have a special place in your heart (Second Childhood on Stillmatic, So Ghetto on Volume 3). before i was able to find production credits online, i used to get excited when i bought an album and saw C.Martin/Works of Mart listed in the publishing credits to a song. i was never disappointed

BIG SHUG, his artist he did most of the bangers on there so too many to name. check 4 em

Of course DJ Premier is my all-time favourite producer and nothing and no-one will change it!

It's a pity that a lot of ppl in Poland e.g. who "listen to hip hop" don't have a fukin clue, when I mention DJ Premier. I'm tryin to change it 24h/day
