KRK Rokit 5 fucked up / AGAIN :(

Post by wax inspektor »

I hate this games played with me...
Now, I got a free weekend to go further with my shit, one of my monitor-speakers brokes. It just made bzzzZZZ and that's it. Now it's impossible to switch it on anymore. It's just 9month old. :? I thought KRK were a good choice ... Hope I can get a one new by garanty... but I guess I'll have to wait for weeks until they repair it. DAMN!

I went with a bad temper to the store, and it's right like I thought... They send it to KRK and they will decide whether to repair or to give me a new....
2 weeks no monitors! GOD DAMN!!!
(but I'm thankful that my turntable isn't broken! That's would be the worst case for me! hope you'll get it fixed fastly Doc! )

The guy told me that the transistor of the monitor is possibly outblown... but how can this happen???

8) but it really don't sounds like that. Like your minimal setup style... Most people would be envious to get dope shit like yours outta maybe 300-400bucks.

(Ain't you got a microkorg Doc. I'm wondering cause I can't here it in your new trackz, which are DOPE by the way.)

anyway I still miss my yellow cat's eye.

That should not happen for sure. I think chances are pretty good that you'll get a new one.

Hope you'll get it back and repaired (or a new one) soon.

Yeah, I haven't posted any of my microkorg beats and I don't use it when I'm sampling breaks and whatnot. I appreciate th fact that you like how my mixes are coming out Wax. :D I think it has more to do with getting used to what you have and how it works then having the best stuff.

Sux ass your speaker blew up man. That's a tough break for real. Break out the headphones dude and do your thing. At least 80% of my music is done on what may be the same $30 sony's that Doc uses. Hell I've even mixed on a cheap 5.1 system. I try to keep at least some kind of normal consumer grade speakers and a couple different headphones that way I can hear it on a few different sourcers before i commit a mix to cd.

Yeah it's not that dramatic for the creative process... but I'm pissed cause the rokit was nearly new... hope the krk dudes are some accurate mf's!!!

It's always mad work to rearange your setup. Now I'm gonna amplify my stuff on a quit good technics amp with sum big ass speakers... Mixing is impossible on them; just to much bass. wooooooom
