Alright you guys... this just got tricky. I tried including all the entries, but got a message saying there were too many options.

I deleted one at a time and tried reposting and found that you can only have 10 poll options (not sure if that can be changed by an admin or not)... sooooooo... if anyone feels slighted due to an idea not appearing here in the poll just holler and we can redo this thing. I tried to keep the ones that people responded positively to, but I may have missed something.

I went with sp-forums the O.S.T. I like it 'cause it clearly references the site which is kinda key in what is known as "branding" in business. I also like the O.S.T idea because this really would be a soundtrack to the site, plus most modern diggers realize the value of all the digital media for sample sources and therefor have searched for and used O.S.T's from anime's and video games etc. It also doesn't make the tape sound overtly hip-hop and keeps the diversity alive for new comers.

Mmm, Dr.Sample303 here changed my mind, but unfortunately I had already voted for 'SP-101: The zen of low budget sampling'.

The branding argument is a good one indeed.

Hmmmm. I disagree with the branding statement. Is the purpose of this mixtape to promote the forums...? It's not really comparable to branding in the sense of a known company using their logo for its brand equity.

Besides, I think the forums are cool the way they are... not needing any additional promotion, but I guess we will find out what the majority opinion is.

Yo... I see your point about the 1200. SP-101 kindof ducks out of that due to the 3 digits in 101. I like that. It's like a class, but also could be a 303, 404, 505, 606... 808... uh, 555...

I like Select Patterns... but I also like the SP-101 title.

Why not promote the site, it's how we all met. My original intention when I was going to put this together was to raise money for the site and it's users through sales of mixtapes. If not promote the site and what we all do here, then what?. I like the place the way it is too, but you haven't been around to see all the changes that took place before you arrived. So seeing that more people will find this corner of the net like you and I did, then why not facilitate the change to benefit the current and growing community at sp-forums?.
