Mixtape Submissions
Does anyone have any suggestions for submission through the forums? I know the arena method of reviewing tracks is pretty effective.
I can also setup an email and page on my server to post and organize submissions, with direct download links instead of zshare links... or flash players for each person submitting, that would hold all their tracks.
Either way... but let's open some discussion and get things posted up for review... which I really think should be left pretty chill.
Anyone who is active on the forums and wants to have a track on there should be able to do so. If the numbers get to be overwhelming, we can consider a 2 disc release... or line up tracks for the second volume or something. I guess we can cross that bridge when we get there.

That sounds good. I think that'd be the best solution but don't the flash players take a bit too much effort? I'd say it's enough to post everyone's tracks below his name or something. D'you have enough webspace to hold a bunch of songs?

How bout this... let's post up zshare links on this thread, and when we start getting to the point of making cuts or voting on the mix, I can post up a single page with links, losing the flash player idea?
I think that will make it easier to listen to things all at once and see who has submitted how many tracks, etc., but we won't be at that point until we get a decent number of tracks posted up. I don't think server space will become an issue, but if it does we can figure something out.

I don't think it will become an issue either, but in case it will be an issue and as long as there won't be hundreds of submissions
First things first though, the submissions.

That track is sick. Diggin' it.
And since when lyrical skills had to do with killin' a cat? What type of chitlins is that?
OK. Here's my first submission. Tell me what you think!

vital points! i like it. love that kick-clap combo and the rhodesie electric piano is great. also like where the beats drop out for a short count. you could consider fading out the end, tho - kinda abrupt....maybe someone hit that vital point in the neck and dropped it?

Thanks to HKP and juxt for the feedback. Clymax... that track is real ill.
Yo juxt... really lookin forward to hearing some stuff homie. As I mentioned on the original thread with the video link... the track you made for your utube vid was crazy. I think that would be a real nice addition for the mixtape... with whatever new jams you wanna throw down of course.
