SPBB # 399 HALLOWEEN CANDY BOX

Post by Runme_Raw »

SPBB#399 HALLOWEEN CANDYBOX

RULES:
NO outside candy,
there is enough candy for everybody.
Maybe your signature sound/name OK.
SP's only , you know the drill.
You can use a recording device to assist your SP candy , or to change octave,
But keep it humble outside!
Outside basslines hmm ok.

Concept:
Make some scary spooky halloween
vibe/beats/music/sounds/minitape/stuff on your SPiritboxes and send in here on
Friday 31 october Halloween 2025

Maybe we can make a compilation tape of all the entries to scare some humans.
Remember , have fun and play safe,
Make gladiatorghosts dance on their grave.

Brother, the candy is also for other days, you dont have to eat all before halloween.
Or just flip a sample from the folder LOOPS , in the drums folder.
We can also set the date further?
Bon voyage with the new house , im doing mine in december

^ I don’t get it. This is a gift
It’s all labeled in folders
Probably the cleanest pack ever shared.
Sampling is listening
There’s literally a folder of
loops
Drums
Sfx
Halloween records etc

You should’ve put the shit on and kicked back.
I know not everyone has that luxury but I’m sure you could go for a walk or puff for 30 mins while tapping through the sounds

Thanks again for putting this together Run gang

Stoked with the sample pack, that whole album MP3's something I'm gonna mine for years. Thanks Runme!

Stoked with the entries so far, keen to hear more!

Between going on a short holiday, working on a project for a mate & the new albums by Aesop Rock, Shlohmo and Chat Pile not sure if I'm gonna make it to this round.

While I appreciate the effort of putting up a pack and all that, and I ain't trying to run Run down or nuffink...but there was a gb of stuff. I just put it all into WMP and it's saying it totals 11+ hours...

Sampling is, indeed, if not listening then certainly HEARING...and you can 'hear' something in the smallest snippet of music. You can say "Oh, you just don't like digging" or whatever but, for a "fun" internet competition, I draw the line at about 20 minutes of material to go through. Else, just like a person expecting me to use fae/faer/faers/faerself or xy/xyr/xyrs/xyrself pronouns, that's a hell of a presumptive request for my emotional and intellectual labour there. I ain't got time for that.

Again, it's the age old debate of "small sample collection = competition to see who does what with those available" vs "just make something out of whatever from this lot". Personally, and I know I'm not alone here, I prefer the effort of a more curated, more focussed pack with more of the direct competition element...

Haha absolutely that’s me! Setting an expectation that I won’t be able to use everything in the tank. Time constraints BUT I didnt dismiss the pack and will def hold on to it for future consideration. Also slapped together a mix without scratching its full potential.
30 mins of dropping the digi needle yielded some inspiration. Try it!
As stated, everything is labeled in nice folders and I appreciated that.
Have at it and list your pronoun in your sig if that’s important to share with the team. we’re inclusive here.
