All samples drop bass while int exit source

Post by Dj_just_jeff »

Do any of you guys know what’s going on here…I am playing a pad with a drum loop on loop mode while jamming on a synth sent to the input on the 404. Suddenly all of the bass will drop out of all pads. I have tried the guitar / mic input on the front and making sure it is not clipping the ext source and the line in. Is it bass overload?!? The only fix is to turn the 404mk2 off and on. It’s not a polyphony issue. I have messed with the utilities and can’t figure this out. All of the Bus fx are off 1,2,3,4. I am going to jam outside with friends in a month and if I can get away with running my Lyra-8 through the 404 instead of bringing a mixer that would be awesome. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you have an effect on one of your bus FX doing something.

Have you checked your bus 3/4 settings... maybe set to bypass?

I'd also check if you're running a pattern on the SP404 mk2, perhaps you've accidentally recorded some motion record that is trigger bus 1/2 fx...

beyond that... maybe something is sending midi to the SP404 mk2 on channels 1 through 5 that is turning an effect on due to a midi cc change or something.

All guesses though, without knowing far more about your setup.
