The best way to safely carry your SP606?

Post by Acrobatics 1on1 »

Are there any official bags? Will laptop bags or cases do fine?

So far, I've only come across "World Tour" bag that is supposed to be "official" sp606 carrying bag, but it doesn't seem much different than the laptop bags. With knobs and buttons on surface of SP606, what is the best way to safely carry it around?
Please don't just say that the best way to carry it around is to leave it safe at home! :)

How about a tuff box?

I think laptop bags are good too, but I would use a TUFFBOX instead.

Go with the hardcase.

One rough ride in a cloth bag and one of those precious knobs will bust off.

Add to that the SP-606 has been discontinued-

Get a small suitcase, scrounge one from friends and family or try a flea market or thrift store.

Pick one that's a few inches bigger in all directions than the SP (14-1/8 x 10-11/16 x 3-5/16). Then get some stiff packing foam to fit into the suitcase.

Less than $10.

I do leave it safe at home now  But when I gigged I used to use a laptop bag with a bit of soft foam for the knobs.
Warm bourbon makes you crazy
