Re: Spbb 362
jaytreaze murdered the shits, the way you combined the samples is sick af, was thinking about doing something similar when i listened to them at first but got carried away with chopping the first sample
dope shit
relistening, bro did you get that wavy phasery synth from the same sample by filtering and fx and shit??? bro how the fuck did you manage to isolate it so well? probably wouldn't have even realized if you didn't put in that part where it's solo, you can tell there's like smeared/filtered out drums in there. you gotta tell me what kind of fx processing you used to get that result

Re: Spbb 362
Basically I sampled a vocal section with isolator set to pick mainly the high end, really helped bc the samples lows were pretty prominent, then I picked a chop where just for a split second is the voice only with no drums, then you copy that chop onto another pad and you just consecutively play them quickly and it sounds like one note sustained. But with this sample there was still bits kind of messy about it so I used the Phaser MFX applied to those chops, as well as the vocal chops you hear at the end of each 4th bar. With phaser applied on all of them I resampled an 8bar pattern to match the sequence and the phaser kind of merges all those fast micro chops smoothly into a sustained note and consistent with the chops that end each 4th bar. Once resampled just play it in the sequence.zindan wrote:jaytreaze murdered the shits, the way you combined the samples is sick af, was thinking about doing something similar when i listened to them at first but got carried away with chopping the first sampledope shit

I’m not too good with explaining so I hope this helped:)
In short, that wavy phasing synth is just a microchop of a voice spammed quickly with phaser applied haha

i guess what sounded like filtered out drum hits to me might be the sound of the start/end points of the sample layering over itself or something? clicking
anyways, super creative, dope shit
