wonder if its better to just buy a "for parts" mpc and get more out of it, looks like thats what theyve done themself haha

Yeah, price is crazy. But it's nearly impossible too, to get a mpc 2000 xl with original cf-card-reader these days, even if the mpc is declared as not working.
