Who Is SP-Forums.com?

Some one messaged me about contacting a moderator of this forum. Years ago I tried to contact a moderator to incorporate a DIY section and was basically told to fuck off. Before the release and announcement of the 404mkII, all of a sudden there was slight moderation. Which is now gone.

This forum as well as any website cost money to run and maintain. So the question is who is fronting the funds? It only benefits one company. Roland.

It's kinda obscure, yes. Maybe the veterans who has been here since the beginning (2006?) know more. Years ago i contacted a mod, too - i wanted the music-section updated - but no answer.
Months ago, we all got heavy login problems, but they got solved silently, without any announcement.

For me this place is like the beautiful black pearl, a mysterious ghost ship sailing in the big sea of www. Nobody knows why it runs anymore and who is in charge. Like as the captain and his crew jumped over the rail. But it fucking runs! It's rumored that it's driven by their spirits. And man, it runs without advertisment and this whole web2.0-capitalistic crap. I hope it will run forever.

Technically speaking it is not that difficult or expensive to run a textbased forum like this these days. Its a php-webapplication with a db-server in the backend. I think both can run on the same virtual server somewhere in cyberspace for a few bucks a year.
