Almost no votes - Halloween tape

Post by gis_sweden »

Almost no votes. That's me.
But I made a short beat tape with the samples provided for SPBB 346.
The samples was supplied by "Run Of The Hind".
I added some voices and animals...

I actually like the short 5-10 minute beat tape format. That’s how i’ve been doing my tapes for a while.

This joint is crazy, wouldn’t have been able to tell some of the tracks were made with the sx.
The intro and 3rd track were my favorites
Boss SP-505
Roland SP-404MkII
Ableton Live 10

Thanks for the sample recognition.

I was joint 2nd to last (nearly solo 2nd to last), even tho I thought my halloween track was better than my bb345 one...which won. So, it goes to show you never can tell!

Music ain't a competition anyway, so dont worry about it. Keep doing you!

I have SO MANY half finished tracks coz I get to the point where serendipity runs out and I have to actually search to find other samples to go with what I've already done and I really struggle with that for some reason. Doing these beat battles has shown me to do it the other way round, like '1 person beat battles' - find a bunch of random-ish samples first and make a track out of them, rather than find a couple, start a track, then need to find more.
