Sp 505 upgrade

Hello forum!!
I contacted Roland to solve a problem that i faced with my 505. The expert that answered by my question, he suggested to me, to upgrade the sp 505 to a newer software version. Has anyone tried it? worth;

"Well, it can look a bit confusing on the site, because we have described the process if you have a PC, a Mac or want to upgrade via Standard Midi File player (SMF)but for you the easiest way, if you have a PC and a card reader for your smart media card, to download the first option in the list and I have copied the content from the "readme" file in the upgrade so you ca see it here:

****SP-505 SmartMedia Update****

**Warning: this process will erase all User information. Please backup User data before updating the SP-505.

*Tools Needed
1. SP-505
2. SM Card with Update Files


*To make SP-505 Update SM card, please copy files "SMPINFOO.SPO" and "sp505.prg" to your SmartMedia card.


**UPDATE PROCEDURE**

1. With power off, insert update SmartMedia card in to the SP-505
2. While holding SONG, PTN, and BPM buttons, turn power on
3. Update will automatically begin when update files are read by th
e SP-505
4. When update completes, power off the SP-505
5. While holding ENTER and EXIT, turn power on to confirm version number
6. Power off SP-505
7. Power on the SP-505 normally
8. Update complete"

What does this update do though? Does it add djfx looper?
Whats real? OG 404 has an update that fixes issues but i don't know what the 505 needs fixed. Maybe add a mark button

Sorry for the delay of my response! To be honest i don' t know if add some new features or fixes some bugs. In that time i faced a problem with the pitch of the 505 and the guy from Roland is suggested me to do that.
