Cool ,glad you enjoyed it.

Brand X put out consistently good records, I honestly don't think there's a bad one out of their entire run...all their releases are well worth checking out.
They're not as well known as the 'Big 3' in some quarters (Return To Forever, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Weather Report being the high water mark of Jazz Fusion) but their output comes close to being as good as anything those groups released in my opinion.

Yeah, liking the Jazz Fusion stuff, and actually, I hear quite a lot of it in the sort of movies I watch and it makes me curious about specific chords. Listening to the Brand X track for example feels especially 80s, so it makes me wonder why and I'm thinking it could be down to chords, maybe there are certain chords and/or chord progressions that become popular in the 80s.
