I think it's musically, lyrically, and visually very well done, and it's one of those you just have to watch in a dark room with headphones on (and in this case preferably a headphone amp to jack-up the ridiculously low volume a bit).

The track has a real creepy-ass 'mood' to it, and it's such a bloody shame they uploaded it in 240p with low volume. Surely they need to upload works like this in 1080p in order to do the artistry involved some justice - but oh well.

I wish I knew where there was a better upload of it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nbFZtxAL4
Cyberpunk 2077 used it, https://youtu.be/zoass6XxJwk I think this will be better quality, here’s the trailer that used it too https://youtu.be/P99qJGrPNLs
Thanks for the links bro, I should have been more clear though.

This is the official music video uploaded by the artist:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6nbFZtxAL4

I basically need that same song with that same video but in 1080p or at least something substantially better than the quality they uploaded it in. If you look at the YouTube settings for that video, fuck knows why but they actually uploaded it in 240p, lol, there must be a better upload than that shitty quality floating around somewhere on the web!

I like the music on its own but the video is really part of the package with that one, puts it on another level. I just wish I could find a better quality upload of that official video. They obviously put a lot of work into that and hired a lot of talented people to produce it, which makes it all the more baffling why they thought that uploading it in 240p would somehow do it justice.

Weird ... :?

Another awesome soundtrack from Francis Lai:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jnGqvGQuK8

As a side note, it looks as if his official website has been taken over by some disrespectful squatter playing on his name. Lai sadly passed away in 2018, and it appears that between then and now, his official website has been wiped out and replaced with what is there now.

I just noticed after checking Wikipedia to see if they had updated it, and even the Wikipedia article on him appears to have been semi-wiped-out. Throughout his life as a composer he managed to score a list of films as long as your arm, and in the process managed to pick-up a list of awards as long as your arm to go along with them. Looking at Wikipedia now it looks as if he's only won a few awards, and masses of stuff he scored isn't even listed there now.

To hazard a guess I'd say that after he died perhaps the official website fell into the wrong hands after failure to renew the domain. I cannot for the life of me imagine that his family would allow that to happen intentionally. The new site owners have even called the site the "Francis-Lai Academy of Music", but if you look closely there's not a word about him on there, nothing about Lai whatseover (not that I can see anyway).

What the fuck :?

I hear the people and environment in this video are not real. Apparently it was shot entirely on location in GTA V. The main character is a modded Franklin and the guy who arrests him is a modded Trevor!

lol this is so old

loved this album when it dropped [you don't even wanna know how many plays all alone and gamebreaker got on loop on my old ipod back then] but have grown to develop some distaste for the alchemist over time. alfredo [2020] feels more like sample pushing than art to me. freddie gibbs also seriously disappointed me on that album

you just made me feel seriously old haha...fuck

Really enjoyed that. I like the heavy Jazz vibe to it, the brass and stuff, and it makes a nice change to hear a Hip-Hop production with original instrumentation played over it like that, cause often it doesn't feel that way. I was getting a bit annoyed with the lack of that sort of thing with a lot of the stuff I've heard, so will definitely be checking-out more of his stuff.

Cheers!

Check out both the Songs Of innocence & Songs Of Experience albums.

Those LP's were recorded in 1968 and 69 respectively.
