antee
ellaguru
durdy

were the three it came down to

I thought Antees sounded the most different of all the entries. The use of FX by ellaguru i liked. I liked the tune/pattern of the chops the most of Durdys.

I vote DURDY

In second postition Selga same things.
Diificult to choose.
ay tysm g! means a lot to me <3

i'm still super bummed out i didn't get to finish the beat i was actually putting time into for this SPBB and ended up having to submit a quickly thrown together microwave beat
T.D wrote:Really like this little training, sequence with sp404 is very special, what do you use guys ? Sequence ? Or resample mode ?
i use pattern sequencer! always have since day 1 almost exclusively

Maybe see you next, this forum deserve more post !
agreed!! this round had a great turnout with great submissions all around! (largely thanks to jaytreaze hooking it up with some fire ass samples!) love hearing you all get creative with it.

went with antee this round!
great flip, all around solid
the way you chopped/sequenced the sample is actually very similar to what i was doing with the beat i initially wanted to submit for this round but sadly didn't finish in time

Fairly unrelated but I just heard this interlude on a Jedi Mind Tricks album that reminded me of the sample and some of the entries:

The vibe is similar to some of the entries and there's that repeating guitar or plucked string sample that just caught my ear. Enjoy!
