Re: Piano Trieste
Listened to it this morning and enjoyed it, sounded punchy and sort of 'Mad-Professor' like

Re: Piano Trieste
Thanks for the kind words brother
Been experimenting with this cheap Korg bass fx processor, trying to find a perfect gritty combo of amp and cab simulation for drumbrute impact
Call it poor man's "analogue heat", except without the analogue. Or heat lmfao
Can't really run it through SPs efx (drumbrute impact that is), kills the lows too much and clips way too easily..and I'd rather go for that tbh, but..oh well
Thanks for dropping an ear!

Ah right, that explains a lot actually cause I did wonder how the DrumBrute was sounding sort of 'LinnDrum' like. Couldn't help but notice what sound was heard as the pads lit on the DrumBrute, so nice choice on the processing combination, works really well!

Re: Piano Trieste
This shit got me pondering, this is fkn brutal:
https://youtu.be/ygrLEVOkcZs
Now, it's impossible to get that warmth with a cheap Korg bass fx processor and especially via drumbrute impact, but still makes me wanna work around it.
I have an immense love/hate relationship with Arturia drumbrute impact- like, kicks are fkn awesome, the sequencing is top notch, very intuitive, swing, randomise, rolling, all that shit kicks ass
But that snare...MY GOD that snare... Sounds worse than a Casio synth from the 80' you'd buy at the flea market, it's literally obnoxious.
And no pitch on the hihats, only filtering
But, the upside is that it does have individual outputs (kick, snare, hihats) so there's that, one day I might work on it, to get the best out of it.
Though I don't think anything could make that snare sound better haha

Re: Piano Trieste
Enjoyed the track, I especially like how the instrument was used to strike the chords in that one (if that makes any sense), and it even had me click on another video that was recommended (Bring the Pain by Method Man) and I enjoyed that as well, lol, two in a row. three if you count your own!
That's unusual cause I often trawl through stuff for ages and not really come across anything I like.

Yo! Thanks a lot Dan!
Btw this is probably the last time I recorded myself using the factory stock fader, I manned up and ordered Jesse Dean's, like, fuck it as much as I want to - there's simply no more room for improvement with that crappy switch.
Glad you liked it brother, peace!
