Re: SPBB #302 Poll
Greenshrt & Lif were among the funkiest.
Props to Asha C & BanPan.
I can't figure out what Pogo Angel did to that bass, but it sounded dope.

Re: SPBB #302 Poll
Great round.Voted BenPan and South Paaw. Honourable mention to Null Sweat.
Re: SPBB #302 Poll
No.1 is DJ Pogo for the sound/style clash and that bass sample
No.2 is Null Sweat for the groove and the mix
Like that BanPan did something a bit different with the uptempo geek-rave.
Some really interesting parts in MalDis, I probably would have looped some sweet sections of that; as it was it took me three listens to hear how good it was. Greenshirt brought some nice cuts and we worked the same sample so that's cool.
My Gf thought Fishaman was the best beat; said that without the acapella you could still hear how the beat could be used for a rapper or a singer or in a mix, so the most 'usable' in a sense. I totally get that. She also liked Null Sweat.
Funny she didn't like mine at first, though started to hear what was going on after hearing it again. Personally I love how hype it iz. Pay attention to the layering; and structure! (Or not HA) She also thought the 'sputnik' sounds didn't fit my usual steez. I been listening to too much of Daedelus' recent stuff mbe. I'm Not a fan of all-the-same sample with the 'glitter' chimes so many of you used, but it's all taste, so go figure We're all still friends

Re: SPBB #302 Poll
Great entries all round, sorry about not reading the rules properly! My first vote is to DJ Pogo Angel for the sick hats, bass and the way the different sounds compliment each other. Second vote to Lif for the complexity, originality and change-ups. It was a tough decision though between those two, Asha C, SouthPaaw and Illll.
Re: SPBB #302 Poll
Ryba my vote for your neat beat, groove is bounce,DJ Pogo Angel
interesting too.Well i probably hurried, but who know rules can break

Re: SPBB #302 Poll
greenshirt:nice intro, great rhythm and swing! a change in the middle wouldve worked really well.
MaleficentDiscount3: crazy glitched out bit reduction. Abstract!!
Banpan:NICE!! sounded like a prope, fully produced track!! title fitted the beat!!
Loved the use of samples, summer vibes!
Lif:similar intro to banpan, nice gritty drums! loved those dark vibes that started around 1:05 and it contrasted well with the feel good chords!
Frankielee: Loved the hissy vinyl sim, nice phat, dirty drums!
Ryba: loved that bass line! nice use of the samples! beat kept it flowing smooth!!! boards of canada vibes, fave so far!
Fisherman: nice use of the guitar sample and acapella worked really well!!
Southpaw: nice chilled, smooth beat! liked the little pauses you added!
DJ Pogoangel: loved the use of compression, nice percussive hits! some nice panning too!!
Nouk: Spacey intro!! nice use of reverb on the snare! Smooth beat!
NUll sweat: smooth beat, guitar samples added the sexiness!
IIIII: Nice use of compression! the vocals and reverb had a sinister vibe going!!

Re: SPBB #302 Poll
Strange. I see 3 voted me in comments, but only 1 really voted?
Anyway, Great round as I said, Lots of material to work with...
Also there was a lot of entries.
to Asha C:
Bassline was tricky to pitch on 303 (i used 2 different samples for 4 chops) and I wasn't satisfied with a result, I'd like to add more variation, but couldn't find way to make it fit...
