all my pads are dead
does anyone know if i can repair it?
or should i just cough up the cash for a new old stock one before they're all gone?

Spray it in a bag and paint it only on the carbon part of the pads. Don't use the silver infused paint. Gentle touch.

You need me to hold your hand?

Buy a can of graphite paint, CRC, pictured above. Shake then spray the shit into a plastic bag.

Take a fine tip brush from the dollar store and dip it into the bag. Paint the carbon on to the black part of your pads, do two or three coats and they will work like new.

Don't use the silver infused paint.

bruh i've never even opened up my sp before, so i don't know what "black part" you're talking about. there's no need to be condescending, but i understand you can't help it.

I just picked up a microKorg with bad keys so I took a picture. The pads are tiny compared to the sp but it is still the same concept.
The black stuff in the bag is the CRC I sprayed in there with a cheap tiny paint brush. The second picture is the sp404 pads and I'm pointing at the part that needs to be repainted.
The Black part on the pads is the worn out carbon pad.
