Using SP404 vs 404sx as outboard gear

Hello guys,

I'm trying to decide between getting an 404 or 404sx, with the main use case being that I would use the efx and compression in the 404 on tracks / samples coming from my DAW. I'm wondering if both machines have a similar workflow / value for that sort of use case. I actually found a great deal on a perfect condition 404OG so I am hoping that the OG works well for doing that. I love the warmer sound it has!

hi, i don't know if you already bought the OG, but i'll give you this.
if the main use of your 404 is going to be EFX and COMP, take note that it has a little delay on the sound when you switch between effects in realtime(while playing). It is rather small, the delay, but it is definitely noticeable. The 404sx does not have this as far as I have tested. on the other hand, the sounds are indeed slightly different, and some may favor the OG over the SX, some will favor it the other way around.

The 404 and 404sx I think will not have the same workflow. The 404sx is an upgraded version of the 404 and will have upgrades in it as well. i don’t know from where I can get best paper writing service and the the extension of this 404sx. Any leads?
