how can i sequence the sp 202?

i bought a sp 202 recently and i have fun finger drumming/sampling but i want to create more complex beats to record lately any recomendation ?

According to the Japanese brochure, you can in theory midi it up to a Roland MC-50 hardware sequencer.

They’re about $150 used, but you could also go with a DR-202 drum machine, which will trigger your pads from its sequencer. You could also maybe get lucky on finding an Alesis MMT8 for $100. But I’ve never used the MC50 or MMT8. So as long as it registers the sequence of which order of the 8 pads you play a measure in, that should work.

you can also sequence it with any machine (drum machine*, samplers** etc) with a sequencer on it or some softwares with midi sequencer

You can also sequence it with a DAW, if you have a MIDI-compatible audio interface [and a MIDI cable, depending what kind of interface you have...] If you use Ableton, let me know: i'll try to make a SP-202 MIDI sequencer project for you!
