Can I Connect a Moog Mother 32 to my Sp404

Post by mrcocaineraindrops »

I’m thinking about buying a Moog Mother 32 but I’m not so sure about it if I can’t connect it to my SP404. Has anyone done this & how would I go about doing this?

Ps (I’m running everything completely dawless)

Run the audio out of the Mother 33 into the mic in of the 404. I’m not sure if the mother 32 has a midi out, but if it does, have that go to the Midi In of the 404. Not sure if you’re controlling your Morher 32 with a keyboard controller, but assuming you are, that midi out goes to the Midi in of the M32.

What I’m not sure is if the M32 will trigger the pads of the 404. But I would just build your basslines, melodies, & what sounds you create, and just save them into the various pads/banks. Your 404 can be the effects processor to spice up what you made.

What the 404 isn’t good at is CV connections. For that, you’re going to need a MPC One. Because that has some CV ins/outs.

Ummm, I did a further inspection of the M32. And I realized it doesn’t have a Midi out. Only Midi in like the 404. So it seems you might have to decide if you’re going to use a keyboard controller or not. Midi out that to the mother 32’s midi in. But all you can really do from here is the audio out into the mic in of the 404.
